Lion's mane is the one most people come looking for by name.
A white, shaggy cascade of soft spines that grows on hardwood — beech, oak and maple — usually high up on a living trunk, nothing like the capped mushroom most people picture. In Japan it is yamabushitake; in China, hou tou gu. It has been eaten as food and used in traditional practice for centuries, long before anyone called it a nootropic.
The compounds under study are hericenones and erinacines, alongside beta-glucan polysaccharides. Those are research subjects, not promises, and we would rather say that plainly than dress it up.
What is actually in the capsule: fruiting body and mycelium powder, 1,000mg per two-capsule serving, standardized to 40% polysaccharides (400mg). Not fruiting-body-only. The panel says both, and so do we.
Two capsules a day, sixty in the bottle — a month per bottle. Pullulan capsule, organic pea starch, nothing else.
Supports focus and mental clarity.*
